Editorial Policy
The Journal of Aesthetic Surgery is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, transparency, and scholarly excellence. All editorial decisions are made independently and are based solely on the quality, originality, and relevance of the submitted work to the journal’s scope.
Editorial Independence
The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board have full authority over the editorial content of the journal. Editorial decisions are not influenced by sponsors, advertisers, or affiliated institutions.
Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
- Initial screening by the editorial office for scope and formatting compliance.
- Plagiarism screening prior to peer review.
- Double-blind review by qualified external reviewers.
- Editorial decision based on reviewers’ recommendations.
Final decisions may include: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection.

Conflicts of Interest
Editors and reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where such conflicts exist.
Appeals and Complaints
Authors may appeal editorial decisions by submitting a written request with detailed justification. All appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief and, where necessary, an independent editorial advisor.
Corrections and Retractions
The journal may publish corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern in cases of significant errors or ethical issues. Such actions are conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) .
Publication Frequency
The journal publishes issues according to its stated publication schedule. All articles are published online upon completion of the editorial and production process.
